Referral for treatment

Patients with cancer are welcome to attend the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre after being referred from their general practitioner or specialist.

How to make a referral

To obtain an appointment for your patient please fax a Specialist Clinics GP referral form to Specialist Clinics.

Where appropriate, referrals should be provided for an indefinite period so that another referral is not required in the future.

In order to meet Medicare legislation, all referrals must be addressed to a named consultant. Referrals will not be accepted without a named consultant. A list of named consultants can be found below.

Multidisciplinary Meetings

In our multidisciplinary meetings, patients with cancer receive treatment and support from a number of health professionals and services. Cancer Multidisciplinary Meetings allow for all of a patient's needs to be considered and included in their treatment plan.This is considered to be the optimal approach to care for people with cancer.
