LiveWell: Cancer Survivorship Program

Completing your cancer treatment can be a time of heightened anxiety for some people or it can also be a time of opportunity to reassess your life goals. The LiveWell Cancer Survivorship Program aims to assist people who have recently completed cancer treatment, offering information, support and strategies for moving forward to care for yourself in mind, body and spirit.

What are the details?

Develop your vision for a healthy life and gain motivation and confidence to make it happen. We will explore:

 

  • Information about key issues that affect survivors of cancer
  • Dealing with difficult emotions including the fear of cancer coming back
  • An introduction to mindfulness techniques
  • Guidance on goal setting and planning a healthy lifestyle
  • Planning a physically active life
  • Nutritious eating in a healthy cooking session

This program is held once a week over four weeks with experienced health professionals facilitating and guiding discussion in a small group environment.

 

Where is it held?

In the Wellness Centre, Level 3R, Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre.

 

 

Who can attend?

This program is open to people who have completed their cancer treatment within the last six months. Carers are welcome to attend.
