The forecourt and main entrances to the ONJ Centre and Austin Hospital will be closed from 8pm Friday 31 January until noon Sunday 2 February.
Our new state-of-the-art radiation therapy machine is being delivered over the weekend and we need to erect a large crane to lift the components into the Centre.
There will be no vehicle or pedestrian access to the podium or the main entrances of the Austin Hospital, Mercy Hospital or ONJ Cancer Centre during this time.
Access to the Centre is via the Austin Hospital car park entrance. This can be accessed via Studley Rd, just near the zebra crossing opposite Heidelberg Station. From the car park, you can access the ONJ Centre by foot from inside the Austin by taking the elevator to Level 3 and following the blue line. Any staff member will help you find your way if you ask for directions.
A temporary taxi zone will be available on Studley Road, opposite Heidelberg Train Station. The 15-minute parking bays to the left of the main hospital car park entrance can be used for patient drop off/pick up. The entrance to our Emergency Department off Burgundy Street remains open. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Enquiries: Call Austin Health Switch on (03) 9496 5000.
