This will help us to better predict, understand and ultimately induce immune-responses that will lead to long-term cancer control in patients.

MUCOSAL IMMUNITY AND CANCER LABORATORY

Our understanding of the mechanisms through which immune cells promote homeostasis in the intestine, as well as the molecular pathways involved in these processes and their interactions with our diet, microbiota and intestinal epithelial cells, remains in its infancy. Our work focuses on examining the immune regulatory networks at mucosal surfaces, which are critical in maintaining a healthy gut environment and preventing cancer development.
