After watching her families stories, Helen did what most people would. She cried. Throughout her cancer treatment, Helen wasn't aware of how they felt, or how they coped until she watched their stories. One of the greatest learnings Helen has had from watching her families stories is how much strength she gave her family because of her fiercely positive and resilient attitude. In this video, Helen talks about how LIV ON and her families stories has helped her reflect on her experience, and bring them all closer together.

A Liv On story from Ian

After loosing my Mother to breast cancer in 1964, I was alarmed when my daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer at a young age in 2014. Fortunately surgery and oncology have improved vastly over this period. My daughter had a regime of chemotherapy and radiation as well as having a breast removed. She had great support from her family and the Company she worked for. I would often pick up her 2 children, entertain them and sometimes bring some food for everyone.

She has now had the breast rebuilt and completed treatment. She still gets tired at times, but she is fit and well. I am so pleased that the medical treatment she has received has helped her recover her health and her position as a mother and a professional. It is wonderful that the present research into breast cancer is now progressing so well, so that most patients recover completely.

I feel eternally grateful for all the medical help she has received.
