Seven year old Escher received $20 for his birthday from his grandmother.
Unfortunately, Escher already knows at his young age that cancer can take away the people we love. He has seen the impact on his best friend and neighbor who lost her mum, aged 37, to brain cancer recently.
But Escher also hears amazing stories about immunotherapy, antibodies, wellness and smiles from his mum who works at the ONJ Centre. So Escher decided to give his $20 to research at the ONJ Centre.
"I have everything I need and I want to donate my birthday money to help cure cancer," says Escher. "i want to help researchers and doctors look inside our bodies to try to develop better medicine."
