Imagine being 21 years old, what is widely considered the prime of your life, only to be told you have stage three colon cancer.
Unfortunately, that was the harsh reality for Imogen Cooper, in 2022 following a proctocolectomy procedure, Imogen began her treatment for cancer at the ONJ Centre.
During her treatment, Imogen was able to access essential wellness programs such as exercise physiology to help holistically support her treatment and recovery.
“The staff are so wonderful in all departments and provide constant support and care to all patients which made me always feel safe and cared for.”
As a patient, Imogen is acutely aware of the importance of the wellness programs and the incredible services available at the ONJ Centre, which is why she is now fundraising to ensure these programs can continue.
“What I noticed, was that all the nurses and staff took a real interest in me and what I was going through, getting to know me as a person not just a patient.”
Already one of the top fundraisers for 2023, Imogen is leading the way in raising essential funds for wellness programs at the ONJ Centre.
