Olivia's Walk and Run for Wellness 2025
 Oct 14, 2025

Olivia's Walk and Run for Wellness 2025 a huge success!

Thousands of people came together on Sunday 5 October for the annual Olivia’s Walk and Run for Wellness, raising more than $1.25 million to support people with cancer through the wellness programs at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre (ONJ Centre).

This year’s event saw incredible participation, with 3,346 tickets sold - including 2,645 people who joined us in person at Alexandra Gardens, 529 virtual participants, and 172 registered dogs.

In-person participants completed the 5km walk or chose the 5km or 10km run around Melbourne’s Alexandra Gardens, while virtual participants took part from locations across the world.

For the first time, the event included a run element, which brought a new energy and welcomed participants from Melbourne’s thriving running community.

Funds raised through the event will go directly towards the ONJ Centre’s wellness programs, which provide patients with access to evidence-based wellness therapies such as oncology massage, exercise physiology, art and music therapy, and acupuncture. These services play a vital role in supporting the physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of people with cancer.

Event organisers say they were overwhelmed by the generosity of the community.

“We’re so grateful to everyone who walked, ran, donated and fundraised this year,” says Susan Bird, Head of Partnerships, Austin Health Foundation.

“Every dollar raised helps ensure people with cancer can continue to access compassionate care and wellness support – a legacy that lives on through Olivia’s vision.”

The event was proudly supported by a number of partners, ambassadors and local businesses, including Brooks, Lanson Place Parliament Gardens, Curves and QMS Media.

While the walk and run may be over for another year, fundraising remains open until 31 October meaning there’s still time to show your support and help continue Olivia’s legacy of wellness.
