Louise Gorman

Dr Louise Gorman

Senior Consultant Radiation Oncologist MBBS FRANZCR - Ballarat-Austin Radiation Oncology Centre (BAROC)

More about Dr Louise Gorman

For Louise, being able to help patients with a mix of technology and clinical medicine were key factors that drew her to follow a career in radiation oncology. She has been a consultant at the Ballarat Austin Radiation Oncology Centre since 2008 and was heavily involved in the design of the Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre (BRICC) as a member of the BRICC Executive Committee and the BRICC Specialist Clinics Committee.

A true Melburnian, Louise completed her radiation oncology training at the Alfred Hospital. Whilst she treats all cancer sub types her main interests are in treating head and neck, gastro intestinal and lung cancers. She enjoys the variety of cases seen in a regional centre rather than having to focus on only one or two specific cancers as is often the case in large metropolitan centres.
She is well settled in Ballarat with a young family at school in Ballarat. She enjoys being part of the regional community and looks forward to our expansion further into the region with outreach clinics in Stawell.
