More about Riley Morrow

I love being able to study and research the development and progression of cancer. It is constantly intellectually stimulating and satisfying, knowing that your findings may eventuate into ultimately benefiting the outcome of cancer patients.

After completing three years of a Bachelor of Biomedical Science on campus at La Trobe University, I moved to the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute to commence my honours project with Professor Matthias Ernst and Associate Professor Elgene Lim (Garvan Institute of Medical Research). My honours project was centred upon exploring mechanisms that allow for the progression of Inflammatory Breast Cancer, a highly rare and aggressive form of advanced breast cancer, and whether we could target these previously unknown mechanisms with novel therapeutics. After graduating with H1 Honours in 2015, I commenced work as a Research Assistant in the Cancer and Inflammation Laboratory in 2016. I plan to undertake postgraduate research in the future
