Becoming a volunteer

Our patients and their loved ones at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre go through a range of emotions throughout their experience with cancer. At times it can be challenging and confronting for volunteers and staff. For this reason it is essential that, as a volunteer, you receive comprehensive training. This ensures you feel prepared to support our patients and their carers during such a difficult time in their lives, and so you are aware of our expectations to participate in reviews, debriefing and ongoing education. Our volunteers are an important part of our care-giving team, therefore you need to meet the following requirements to help us make sure our team members are of the highest quality.
